Madonna, Shakira, BTS to Headline World Cup Halftime Show

Madonna, Shakira, and BTS are set to headline the inaugural Super Bowl-style halftime show at the FIFA World Cup final, scheduled for July 19 in New Jersey. This landmark event, confirmed by FIFA, will mark the first time a fully structured halftime entertainment spectacle will occur during a World Cup final.

The performance is expected to last around 11 minutes, with discussions suggesting it could extend closer to the 15-minute limit permitted by FIFA rules. FIFA President Gianni Infantino described this decision as a landmark moment.

The show will feature a blend of pop and K-pop appeal aimed at a global television audience. Shakira is anticipated to unveil a new official tournament song titled "Dai Dai," featuring Burna Boy, which will incorporate African influences into the competition's soundtrack.

Madonna is preparing to release her 15th studio album, while BTS continues its international comeback. The halftime show will be curated by Chris Martin of Coldplay and aims to support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, with a goal to raise $100 million to expand access to education for children worldwide.
