Oloko Thrilled by First Super Falcons Call-Up

Oloko, a goalkeeper for Abia Angels, expressed her thrill at receiving her first call-up to the Super Falcons, stating it is a dream come true and a privilege to represent Nigeria on an international stage. She acknowledged the disbelief she felt upon receiving the news and credited her success to hard work, perseverance, and faith in God.

Oloko has had an impressive season, keeping four clean sheets, which earned her the goalkeeper of the week award in the Nigerian Women Football League (NWFL). The head coach of the Super Falcons, Justin Madugu, announced a squad of 25 players for an upcoming friendly against Cameroon’s Indomitable Lionesses, scheduled for February 28 to March 3.

The roster includes notable players such as captain Rasheedat Ajibade and goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozi, among others. This friendly serves as preparation for the 13th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco from March 17 to April 3, where the top four semi-finalists will qualify directly for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil.
