Kobbi Mainoo Signs New Manchester United Contract Until 2031

Kobbi Mainoo, a 21-year-old midfielder, has signed a new contract with Manchester United that extends his tenure until 2031, bringing an end to uncertainties regarding his future. Mainoo, who is an academy product born in Stockport, had previously agreed to a deal that was set to expire in 2027, with an option to extend for an additional year.

His rise to the first team was anticipated to occur shortly, as he has already made 12 league appearances under interim boss Michael Carrick. Despite interest from Italian side Napoli, where former unit boss Ruben Amorim had prompted a loan move during the January transfer window, Manchester United rejected this request, emphasizing that they value Mainoo and want him to fight for his place in the team.
