Kwankwasiyya Confirms Merger Talks with Obi, Makinde

The Kwankwasiyya movement, represented by spokesperson Mansur Kurugu, has confirmed that merger talks are underway involving prominent political figures such as Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, Peter Obi, and Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde. These discussions are part of a broader political realignment strategy as the nation approaches the 2027 general elections.

Kurugu noted that the negotiations have reached an advanced stage, although no consensus has been reached on a specific political platform. The talks involve various prominent political actors across party lines, emphasizing the importance of ongoing dialogue.

Additionally, the coalition is considering the inclusion of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) itself as they carefully weigh their options to settle on the best political vehicle to serve collective interests. The discussions were highlighted during a recent meeting hosted by Seriake Dickson, coinciding with the Sallah celebrations.
