Kwankwasiyya and Obidi Movements Meet for 2027 Elections

On Wednesday, Rabiu Kwankwaso's Kwankwasiyya Movement and Peter Obi's Obidi Movement convened a closed-door meeting in Abuja, lasting three hours, to strategize for the upcoming 2027 general elections. The meeting followed a solidarity visit from the Kwankwasiyya delegation.

Key figures included former AMAC chairmanship candidate Mose Paul and activist Aisha Yesufu. Habeeb Moham, the national coordinator of the Kwankwasiyya Movement, called for collective action to address Nigeria's challenges, stressing the importance of unity beyond ethnic and religious divisions.

Yunusa Tanko, representing the Obidi Movement, highlighted Nigeria's strengths, particularly its people, and urged for renewed patriotism and civic engagement among the youth. The meeting aimed to foster collaboration across political groups, recognizing that national development requires broad-based participation.

This meeting is part of ongoing consultations by Peter Obi, who recently met with political leaders and stakeholders across the country, including a meeting in Ibadan with Seyi Makinde.
