Oyo Governor Makinde Vows Stronger Security Measures After Recent Attacks

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has promised to bolster security efforts in the state after gunmen attacked forest guards at Old Oyo National Park, resulting in five deaths. Makinde commended security personnel and the military for their roles in safeguarding the state.

He also disclosed plans to establish a welfare scheme for the families of the deceased forest guards. The interim chairman of the Nigerian Legion, Julius Alabi, praised the federal and state governments for improving the welfare of legion members.

Makinde assured the public of ongoing efforts to ensure the safety and security of Oyo State.
