Fayose Accuses Makinde of Plotting Olubadan's Removal

Ayodele Fayose, the former governor of Ekiti State, has accused Seyi Makinde, the current governor of Oyo State, of planning to remove Oba Rahidi Adewolu Ladoja, the Olubadan of Ibadanland. Fayose's allegations surfaced in a post made on Sunday, where he claimed that the move to remove the traditional ruler was linked to the monarch's failure to attend a recent coronation ceremony in Ibadan.

Fayose criticized Makinde, describing him with the Yoruba term "sigidi," which implies a negative connotation. Despite these allegations, the Olubadan Palace has dismissed claims of a rift between the traditional ruler and the governor, labeling the accusations as unfounded.

The palace issued a statement urging the public to disregard these unverifiable claims and emphasized the importance of relying on official sources for accurate information regarding the monarch's absence from the coronation event.
