Makinde Urges Patience as Nigerian Air Force Aids Rescue

On Friday, May 15, 2026, Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde met with a delegation from the Nigerian Air Force, led by Air Vice Marshal Abubakar Suleh, at the Governor's Office in Agodi, Ibadan. The meeting focused on the ongoing efforts to rescue teachers and pupils abducted in the Yawota Ahoro Esinel community of Oriire Local Government Area.

Governor Makinde called for patience from residents as the Nigerian Air Force continues its operations. He expressed appreciation for the Air Force's support, noting the acquisition of two Diamond 42 surveillance aircraft to aid in the rescue efforts.
