Governor Makinde Assures Families of Abducted Pupils

He expressed empathy for the families' pain and anxiety, stating that the government is fully committed to ensuring the safety of the victims.

Makinde explained that security agencies are working tirelessly and regularly reviewing rescue strategies to achieve the best possible outcomes. He noted that the unpredictable nature of the abductors makes it difficult to disclose specific operational details to the public.

The governor urged residents not to engage in blame games among state, federal, and local governments, emphasizing the need for unity in prioritizing the safe rescue of the abducted individuals. He acknowledged the unusual nature of this incident, involving nursery and primary school pupils, and reassured families that every available resource is being deployed for the victims' release.
