PDP and ADC Leaders Meet Amid Rising Political Tensions

Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde addressed the media on Wednesday regarding the meeting between the faction of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) led by Taminu Turaki and leaders of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), including former Senate President David Mark. The meeting, held at Mark's residence in Abuja, was a response to recent political developments, including court actions and protests staged earlier by the ADC at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) headquarters.

Makinde expressed solidarity with the ADC amid rising political tensions as the 2027 general elections approach. The closed-door meeting included notable figures such as former Attorney General of the Federation Abubakar Malami, former Governor Rotimi Amaechi, and other prominent politicians.
