Oyo Governor Makinde Sacks SSG, Appoints Replacement in Cabinet Reshuffle

Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has made significant changes in his administration by sacking the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Olanike Adeyemo, and appointing Professor Musibau Adetunji Babatunde as the replacement. The minor cabinet reshuffle also saw Temilolu Seun Ashamu appointed as the Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, and Ademola Aderinto as the Senior Special Assistant on Public Works.

The decision was contained in a letter dated January 5, 2026, addressed to the PDP Chairman in Ward 1 of Akuku Toru Local Government Area. Adeyemo expressed gratitude to the party for the opportunities he had during his time in office.
