Oyo Governor Makinde Appoints New Officials Amidst Transparency Efforts

Governor Makinde of Oyo State has made new appointments, including David Aderemi Okediji as Chairman of the Oyo State Audit Service Commission and Olufemi Ebenez Olanrewaju as Special Assistant for the Liaison Office in Lagos. The appointments aim to enhance transparency and effective governance in the state.

This move follows the recent demand by the EFCC for the release of funds related to the Bodija explosion in Ibadan. The state government clarified that it received 30 billion, not 50 billion, and assured the remaining funds would be used for compensating victims and reconstruction efforts.
