Mike Makinde Wins 15th DOAM Golf Championship

Mike Makinde emerged as the overall winner of the 15th Daniel Ogechi Akujobi Memorial Golf Championship held at Ikoyi Club 1938, Lagos, finishing with a total score of 65 nett. He outperformed competitors Paul Tijani and Segun Adekoya, who finished as first and second runners-up, respectively.

Makinde's victory earned him a coveted trophy and various prizes, including a Zinox Elite Pro 2 Ultra 7 Intel Core laptop and an M1 Basic BP monitor. In his acceptance speech, he attributed his success to hard work and dedication, expressing gratitude to the organizers and the Daniel Ogechi Akujobi Memorial Foundation for their societal impact.

In the ladies' category, Paulin Onafowokan won with a score of 70 nett, while Toluwaresh Balogun, an 11-year-old golfer, clinched the nearest pin prize. The tournament attracted 168 players and concluded with a cocktail party and prize-giving ceremony.
