Makinde Visits Bala, Discusses PDP's Future Ahead of 2027

On a visit to Bauchi State, Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde met with Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed to discuss the future of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and the upcoming 2027 presidential elections. During the visit, Makinde declared that Nyesom Wike, a prominent member of the PDP, should not be considered an enemy of democracy, despite his support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Makinde emphasized the need for party unity and encouraged the people of Bauchi to face the challenges ahead. He stated that the PDP would survive the challenges posed by the 2027 general elections.

In response, Governor Mohammed disagreed with Makinde's views on reconciliation, asserting that such issues should be resolved through legal means rather than political mediation. He reiterated his belief in the rule of law and indicated that there are no irreconcilable issues within Nigeria's political landscape.
