Fayose Accuses Makinde of Plotting to Be Atiku's Running Mate

In a recent statement, former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose accused Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde of planning to be the running mate of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar in the upcoming elections. Fayose alleged that Makinde promised to divide votes with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the Southwest and secure River State votes for Atiku.

The revelation came after a meeting between Fayose and former Head of State Ibrahim Babangida in Niger State. Fayose claimed that Makinde had released 10 billion naira to the opposition party and pledged more funds once the campaign commenced.
