Makinde's Aide Endorses Oriyomi Hamzat for Oyo Governorship in 2027

Adebukola Ajaja, a member of Governor Makinde's advisory council, publicly endorsed Ibadan-based media entrepreneur and philanthropist Oriyomi Hamzat for the 2027 Oyo governorship election. The endorsement took place during Hamzat's formal declaration event at the Liberty Stadium in Ibadan.

Ajaja described Hamzat as a popular activist and a core speaker, expressing confidence in his bid. The event also saw the defection of several former party members back to support Hamzat, indicating a renewed consolidation within the party.

The move was supported by Maxwell Mgbudem, the national chairman, and Ademola Adeleke, the Osun State governor. The event showcased the growing momentum ahead of the 2027 governorship election in Oyo State.
