Malami Secures ADC Nomination for Kebbi Governorship 2027

Abubakar Malami, the former Attorney General and Minister of Justice, has officially obtained the governorship nomination form from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in preparation for the 2027 gubernatorial election in Kebbi State. In a statement released via his social media handle, Malami expressed his decision to join the race, emphasizing the worsening conditions in Kebbi, including insecurity, poverty, inadequate healthcare, declining education, and economic hardship.

He highlighted alarming statistics, noting that 67% of children aged six to fifteen in the state are affected by multidimensional poverty, and maternal mortality rates remain high due to a lack of access to essential health services. Malami criticized the current administration for misplacing priorities during a time when citizens are grappling with economic challenges and insecurity.

As an ADC gubernatorial aspirant, he pledged to focus on restoring security, improving public education, strengthening healthcare delivery, reviving agriculture, and creating opportunities for youth if elected governor in 2027.
