Abubakar Abdulaziz Malami to Remain in Kuje Prison Until January 7 Amid Money Laundering Case

Abubakar Abdulaziz Malami, son of the former Attorney General of Nigeria, is to stay in Kuje Prison until January 7 as the court postponed the ruling on their bail request in a N9 billion money laundering case. Justice Emeka Nwite ordered a hearing to consider arguments against the bail application of Malami's son and two other defendants.

Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Joseph Daudu, argued in favor of bail, while the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) opposed the request. Tensions rose during court proceedings as disagreements over security control emerged between officials.
