Malawi Repatriates 150 Nationals from South Africa

Malawi has successfully repatriated its first batch of 150 nationals from South Africa, as announced by the Malawi Minister. The repatriation took place on a Saturday, with the group traveling from the Western Cape province.

They are expected to arrive at the Mwanza border post late Monday. The process will continue at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.

The Malawi government has implemented measures to ensure the safety of the returnees, which include transit and consular support. This operation is being facilitated by a multidisciplinary Malawi task team dispatched to the Western Cape, in coordination with the Malawi High Commission in South Africa.

The repatriation effort reflects Malawi's commitment to assist its citizens abroad and ensure their safe return home.
