Man Attempts to Kill Daughter Before Hanging Himself in Ekiti, Police Launch Investigation

In Ekiti, a man identified as Segun attempted to kill his elder daughter by slitting her throat before hanging himself from a tree behind his residence in Orun Local Government Area. The incident occurred early on a Sunday morning, with neighbors expressing shock at the tragic event.

The man's daughter, a 12-year-old girl named Patrick Abayomi, was saved and taken to the hospital where she received treatment for her injuries. The community members tried to contact traditional worshippers to remove the man's lifeless body from the tree.
