Man Faces Court for ₦1.1 Million Fraud in Ado Ekiti

Gbadura Temitop Fridai, a 41-year-old man, appeared before the Ado Ekiti Magistrate Court facing two counts of fraud involving ₦1.1 million. The prosecution, led by Insp.

Olubu Apata, alleged that on February 5, 2021, Fridai obtained the money from Mr. Ojo Momoh under the pretext of selling three plots of land, which he knew was false.

This action contravened Section 328 of the Criminal Law of Ekiti State, 2021. During the proceedings, Fridai pleaded not guilty to the charges.

His counsel, Mr. Oluwafemi Alabi, requested bail for his client, assuring the court that Fridai would not abscond.

Magistrate Mr. Olubunmi Bamidel granted bail at ₦200,000 with two sureties.

The case was adjourned until June 17 for further hearing.
