Man Arrested for Stabbing Friend to Death in Ondo

Johnson Daniel has been arrested by the Ondo State Police Command for allegedly stabbing his friend, 18-year-old Ariyo Timilehin, to death during an argument. The incident took place in Owo, Ondo State, on March 6, 2026.

According to the police spokesperson, DSP Abayomi Jimoh, preliminary investigations indicate that the victim was stabbed during a violent altercation. Following the incident, Ariyo Timilehin was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre in Owo, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Police detectives visited the scene of the incident and recovered the knife believed to have been used in the attack. Johnson Daniel was subsequently arrested, and the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation.

The police have urged the public to resolve disputes peacefully and avoid violence. Reports indicate that the victim and suspect were known to be close friends and were frequently seen together in their neighborhood.
