Simi's Manager Denies Divorce Claims from Adekunle Gold

The manager of Nigerian singer Simi has refuted claims regarding her separation from husband Adekunle Gold, which arose after purported divorce papers surfaced on social media. These documents allegedly filed in the High Court of Lagos State on February 28, 2026, claimed that their marriage had broken down due to emotional, financial, and professional issues, and sought joint custody of their child.

However, Simi's manager, Vincent, stated that the documents are not real, citing several mistakes that indicate improper legal procedures. He pointed out that the stage name used in the documents is not typically accepted in court filings, and the suit number referenced does not match the supposed 2026 filing date, as it refers to 2024.

Simi and Adekunle Gold, who began their relationship as friends and music partners, became a public couple in January 2019 and welcomed their daughter, Adejare, known as Deja, in 2020.
