Terrorists Attack Borno School, Pupils Feared Abducted

On Friday, an attack by suspected Boko Haram insurgents targeted Mussa Primary and Junior Secondary School in Askira Uba Local Government Area, Borno State, around 9 AM. Eyewitnesses reported that the attackers stormed the school without resistance, taking an unspecified number of pupils.

Samaila Kaigama, a representative of the Borno South Youth Alliance, confirmed the incident, stating that the attack occurred shortly after troop patrols had left the community. Abdullahi Askira, the Deputy Speaker of the Borno State House of Assembly, also confirmed the attack, although details surrounding the possible abduction remain unclear.

Reports indicate that students fled into the bush during the attack, and the situation is described as disheartening. The Borno State Police Command, represented by ASP Nahum Daso, has not yet received full details of the incident.

Efforts to reach Madu Said, the chairman of Askira Uba Local Government Area, were unsuccessful as calls went unanswered.
