Marafa Loses Support as 14 LGA Chairmen Defect to APC in Zamfara

Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa has suffered a setback in Zamfara State as 14 Local Government Area chairmen and supporters have abandoned his political movement. The defection was announced during a public meeting in Gusau, where the chairmen and followers pledged their loyalty to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Marafa's close ally, Abubakar Saddiq, stated that the decision to leave Marafa's movement was due to its failure to serve the political and developmental interests of the state. The defection is seen as a blow to Marafa, who has been embroiled in internal conflicts within the APC, contributing to the party's defeats in recent elections in Zamfara.
