Maresca Commits to Reviving Foden's Form at Man City

Enzo Maresca, the manager of Manchester City, has vowed to assist Phil Foden in rediscovering his best form following Foden's recent scoring resurgence, which includes four goals in two matches after a 10-month goal drought. Foden scored in City's 3-2 victory over Ipswich and followed up with a hat-trick in a 5-1 Champions League win against AEK Athens.

The England international had a standout season in 2023/24, netting 27 goals and earning the Premier League Player of the Season award, but has struggled in the subsequent seasons. Maresca, who became the manager in June, has had multiple discussions with Foden to reassure him of his significance to the team.

He stated that improving players like Foden is essential for enhancing the team's overall performance. Despite facing challenges, including a guilty verdict related to over 100 alleged breaches of Premier League financial rules, Maresca remains focused on the team's performance as they prepare for a match against Aston Villa, with striker Erling Haaland expected to return from injury.
