ADC Crisis Escalates as Rival Factions Confront Each Other

The African Democratic Congress (ADC), under the leadership of former Senate President David Mark, is currently experiencing a significant crisis due to escalating tensions with rival factions within the party. On Tuesday, a confrontation occurred as the rival faction openly challenged Mark's camp for control of the party.

In an interview with Vanguard, Queen Okiyi, the deputy national public secretary of Mark's faction, claimed that the rival group lacks the authority to act on behalf of the party and accused them of pursuing personal interests. Okiyi emphasized that the faction's actions would not be tolerated as they undermine the party's structure, asserting that loyalty to the party's rules is non-negotiable.

She also referenced past misconduct and disciplinary measures taken against members of the rival faction, highlighting the ongoing internal conflicts within the ADC.
