Marseille Tags Akor Adams at €30 Million Amid Transfer Buzz

Olympique Marseille has emerged as the frontrunner to sign Nigerian striker Akor Adams from Sevilla FC, with a price tag of €30 million set for the forward. This interest comes ahead of the summer transfer window, as Marseille considers Adams a potential replacement for Mason Greenwood, who is linked with a departure.

Adams, who is 26 years old, has established himself as an important player for Sevilla after a slow start, finishing the La Liga season as the club's top scorer with 10 goals, including crucial contributions in the final matches to help avoid relegation. Marseille is looking to strengthen its attack, especially after the anticipated loss of Pierr-Emerick Aubameyang.

Fulham FC is also monitoring the situation, hoping to reunite Adams with fellow Nigerians Calvin Bassey and Alex Iwobi. Sevilla is open to selling Adams to alleviate financial pressure and facilitate reinforcements elsewhere.

If the deal concludes, Adams would become the third most expensive player ever sold by Sevilla, following Jules Koundé's €50 million move to Barcelona and Diego Carlos' €31 million transfer to Aston Villa.
