Crayon Criticizes Mavin Records, Hints at Exit

Nigerian singer Charl Chibuez Chukwu, known as Crayon, has called out Mavin Records and its leadership, specifically targeting label boss Don Jazzy and COO Tega Oghenejobo, through social media posts. Crayon's criticism includes claims about the label's failure to expand and support its artists adequately, which he alleges has affected him personally, especially following the loss of his mother.

He signed with Mavin Records in May 2019 and has since threatened to leave the label. Although it remains unclear if Crayon's social media account was compromised, he has continued to post without indication of hacking.

He shared details of a new venture called Olodum Entertainment, along with a new book and an email address. Additionally, Crayon's recent release, a song titled "Baami," is now associated with the Olodum Entertainment imprint rather than Mavin Records.
