Mastercard Appoints Yasemin Bedir as EEMEA President

Mastercard announced the appointment of Yasemin Bedir as President of its Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EEMEA) region, effective 1 September. Bedir, a nearly 20-year veteran of Mastercard, succeeds Dimitrios Dosis, who has taken on the role of Chief Commercial Payments Officer.

In her new UAE-based position, Bedir will oversee the strategy and success of Mastercard’s operations across 81 countries, collaborating with retailers, fintechs, financial institutions, governments, and businesses. Sachin Mehra, Mastercard's Chief Business Officer, praised Bedir's leadership qualities and her ability to foster strong relationships in a complex region.

Prior to this role, Bedir served as Division President for Eastern Europe for four years and has extensive experience from her tenure at Mastercard, including roles in Turkey and Azerbaijan. She is also a founder of the Professional Women Network (PWN) and advocates for talent development and SME growth.
