MasterChef Nigeria Launches with 10 Contestants Competing

MasterChef Nigeria has officially debuted with ten contestants vying for a grand prize of ₦73 million. The show is set to premiere on April 26, 2023, at 7:00 PM on Africa Magic.

It is described as a local adaptation of a globally acclaimed culinary competition. The contestants, selected from different parts of the country, include David Emmanuel (24, Magboro), Demi Akingb (30, Ikoyi), Derri Nnonyelu (29, Ikeja), Fad Segun (29, Lagos), Favi Bessan (26, Shomolu), Isabella Adediji (39, Ikeja), Loy Oyedotun (31, Abuja), Margaret Akpan (42, Lagos), Pearl Agbajem (30, Lekki), and Prey Fadas (34, Lagos).

The competition aims to test not only culinary skills but also resilience and creativity under pressure. The dishes will be judged by Chef Ero and Chef Stone.

The show, produced by Primedia Group, is supported by sponsors including Power Oil, Indomie, Dano Milk, Malta Guinness, Sonia Tomato, and Kiara Rice. It will consist of 13 episodes airing weekly on Sundays, with repeat broadcasts scheduled for Wednesdays and Thursdays.
