Matawalle Calls for Support to Combat Nigeria's Insecurity

Bello Muhammad Matawalle, in an interview with BBC Hausa, called for support for Nigeria's security agencies, asserting that only God can ultimately resolve the nation's insecurity challenges. He highlighted that insecurity remains a significant issue requiring collective efforts from security agencies and citizens to overcome.

Matawalle urged Nigerians to back security forces and warned politicians against exploiting the situation for political gain, expressing discontent with the rising insecurity. He stated that insecurity does not discriminate based on political affiliation or religion and criticized opposition members for appearing indifferent to the plight of the people.

Matawalle also addressed the circulation of misleading videos on social media that falsely portray the failure of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration regarding security. He affirmed that security operations are ongoing and that the fight against terrorism requires persistent effort, noting that even powerful nations struggle with similar challenges.
