Jacob Elordi's Family Background and Supportive Upbringing

Jacob Nathaniel Elordi was born on 26 June 1997 in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, to John Elordi, a Basque-born house painter, and Melissa Elordi, an English-Australian stay-at-home mother. He is the youngest of four children and the only son.

John Elordi emigrated from the Basque Country, Spain, at age eight to escape the Francoist dictatorship, and worked as a house painter, even building the family's house himself over 13 years. Jacob has described his father as a role model, crediting him with instilling a strong work ethic.

His mother, Melissa, was actively involved in his upbringing, volunteering at his school to spend time with him. Initially skeptical about Jacob's interest in acting, his parents eventually supported his career after he demonstrated serious commitment.

Jacob has expressed pride in his Basque heritage and has spoken fondly of his family’s support throughout his life.
