Segun Aina Appointed New JAMB Registrar by Tinubu

On Thursday, President Bola Tinubu appointed Professor Segun Aina as the new registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), succeeding Professor Haq Oloyed, whose two-term tenure will expire on July 31, 2026. Aina, who will turn 40 in July, has a strong background in academia and technology, having built academic foundations across two British universities.

He obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Systems Engineering from the University of Kent in 2008, followed by an MSc in Internet Computing and Network Security from Loughborough University in 2009, and later completed a PhD in Digital Signal Processing. Aina began his professional journey at JAMB during his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and has accumulated 15 years of post-graduate experience.

He has also co-founded Fluid Click Solutions Ltd and has served in various advisory roles across public and private sectors, focusing on system design and digital transformation.
