Adidas Unveils AI-Powered Trionda for 2026 World Cup

The Adidas Trionda has been unveiled as the official ball for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be hosted by Canada, Mexico, and the United States. This innovative ball incorporates advanced technology, including a motion sensor that tracks every touch and kick, sending data 500 times per second to assist in officiating through the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) system.

The design features a unique four-panel construction, the fewest ever used in a World Cup match ball, aimed at enhancing aerodynamics and stability. The name "Trionda" translates to "three waves" in Spanish, symbolizing the unity of the three host nations.

The ball's color scheme includes red, green, and blue, representing Canada, Mexico, and the United States, respectively. It is made with environmentally friendly materials, including water-based glue and ink.

The Trionda's design also pays homage to the FIFA World Cup trophy with gold embellishments and incorporates elements that reflect the cultural identities of the host nations.
