Akon Claims Men Aren't Built for Monogamy in Interview

He argued that men are natural breeders and suggested that it is in their nature to seek multiple partners.

Akon emphasized that while men may form emotional attachments, their biological inclination leads them to prioritize relationships with multiple women. His comments come in the wake of his wife, Tomeka Thiam, filing for divorce in September 2025 after nearly three decades of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences.
