Mikel Urges Chelsea to Increase Estevao's Playing Time

Former Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel has called on current manager Xabi Alonso to provide more playing time for teenager Estevao, expressing concern that the young player may become frustrated and contemplate leaving Chelsea FC. Estevao has faced challenges in securing regular starts due to competition from players like Cole Palmer, Morgan Rogers, and Joao Pedro for attacking positions at Stamford Bridge.

On The Obi One Podcast, Mikel commended Estevao's performances since joining the club, stating, “I just think what Estevao did last season... he’s been superb, he’s been brilliant.” He suggested that even if Estevao does not start matches, he should be brought on in the second half to utilize his talent. Mikel emphasized the importance of keeping Estevao involved, noting that there are rumors of the player feeling frustrated and wanting to leave the club.
