Military Airstrike in Niger State Kills 12 Terrorists

On Sunday morning, a military airstrike in the Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State resulted in the deaths of 12 terrorist suspects and informants. The airstrike targeted individuals near the village of Kusasu, occurring around 5 AM.

Maurice Magaji, the Niger State Commissioner for Homeland Security, confirmed the operation, emphasizing that the casualties were exclusively terrorists and informants, with no civilian deaths reported. The military had previously warned civilians to evacuate the area, as terrorists were known to use local informants to strategize attacks on communities.

This operation is part of ongoing military efforts to combat terrorism in the region.
