Nigerian Air Force Neutralizes 27 Terrorists in Borno

On June 10, 2023, the Nigerian Air Force conducted airstrikes that resulted in the neutralization of 27 terrorists in the Tumbuktu area of Borno State. The air operations were part of a joint task force operation named Hadin Kai, which aimed to degrade terrorist capabilities in the region.

The strikes followed intelligence surveillance and reconnaissance missions that identified terrorist vehicles in the area. The airstrikes targeted known terrorist enclaves, leading to the destruction of 12 vehicles and the neutralization of 15 additional terrorists during a subsequent operation in the Guzamala Local Government Area.

These operations are part of ongoing efforts to disrupt the logistics network of terrorist groups operating around the Lake Chad fringes. The Nigerian Armed Forces reiterated their commitment to sustain offensive operations against terrorist strongholds until peace and security are restored in the region.
