Military Honors Brigadier General Braimah and Fallen Soldiers

On April 15, 2026, the Nigerian military conducted a burial ceremony for Brigadier General Oseni Braimah, Captain Ismail, and five soldiers who were killed during a terrorist attack in Borno State on April 9. The ceremony was held at Maimalari Cantonment in Maiduguri, where family members and dignitaries gathered to pay their respects.

Among the attendees were Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State, General Christoph Musa (retd), General Olufemi Oluyede, and Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu. The burial was marked by solemn emotions, with a statement read that honored the fallen soldiers for their supreme sacrifice in the line of duty.
