Military Officer's Vehicle Kills Two Police Inspectors

On Thursday, two police inspectors, Tanko Musa and Ajubi Onah, were tragically killed in Kaduna when a Toyota Hilux driven by a military officer collided with them while they were on lawful traffic control duty at the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) Junction. Eyewitnesses reported that the vehicle crashed into the officers, resulting in their immediate deaths.

The Kaduna State Police Command expressed deep sorrow over the incident, with DSP Mansir Hassan confirming that the officers were performing their duties when the accident occurred. While some witnesses alleged that the military officer was under the influence of alcohol, the police stated they could not confirm this claim as investigations are ongoing.

The military officer also sustained injuries and is receiving medical care. The police and military are collaborating on the investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the accident.

The Kaduna State Police Command extended condolences to the families of the deceased officers.
