Nigerian Military Rescues 40 Kidnapped Victims Nationwide

Between July 10 and 16, the Nigerian military conducted operations across the country, resulting in the rescue of over 40 kidnapped victims and the arrest of 20 suspected criminals. Maj. Gen. Michael Onoja, Director of Defence Media Operations, reported that troops killed several terrorists and disrupted criminal networks during these operations.

Notable achievements included the rescue of 13 kidnapped victims near Maiduguri, the arrest of six suspects involved in logistics for terrorists, and the elimination of three terrorists in Zamfara and Kebbi states. Additionally, operations in Kwara State led to the recovery of an AK-47 rifle and the arrest of an arms trafficker.

The military also rescued a school principal and two students abducted during an attack in Kogi State. Chief of Defence Staff Gen. Olufemi Oluyede praised the troops for their professionalism and urged continued support for security agencies to restore peace nationwide.
