Minister Sulaiman-Ibrahim Supports Women-Led Anti-Corruption Efforts

Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, the Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, has expressed support for a strengthened partnership with the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) to empower women as champions of integrity and accountability in Nigeria. During a courtesy visit from an ICPC delegation led by Director Mr.

Demola Bakare in Abuja, Sulaiman-Ibrahim emphasized that this collaboration aligns with the Ministry's core mandate of advocacy, sensitization, and protection. She noted the importance of women in promoting transparency and ethical leadership within communities.

The Minister highlighted the Ministry's existing advocacy platforms that can enhance anti-corruption awareness and community engagement. Bakare outlined the Commission's desire for strategic collaboration to deepen integrity education through women's groups and proposed integrating anti-corruption education into women's empowerment initiatives.

The partnership aims to strengthen grassroots anti-corruption advocacy, expand public awareness, and promote inclusive national development.
