Minister Advocates for Women's Empowerment in Nigeria

Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman Ibrahim, the Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, urged for inclusive opportunities for Nigerian women during her official visit to the Maryam Babangida National Centre for Women Development (MBNCWD) in Abuja. She inspected the facilities and met with the newly appointed Director General and the governing board management staff.

Sulaiman Ibrahim highlighted the growing influence of Nigerian women and underscored their limitless potential when provided with opportunities. She described women's empowerment as central to national progress and reiterated the ministry's commitment to helping women achieve prosperity.

The minister aligned her vision with President Bola Tinubu's agenda to build a trillion-dollar economy, emphasizing the need for women to be active contributors rather than passive beneficiaries. She called for the centre to evolve into a vibrant development hub offering a broad range of services for women.

Additionally, she presented the centre's Roadmap 2.0, which aligns with the Renewed Hope Agenda, anchored on eight strategic pillars prioritizing socio-economic inclusion and access.
