Minister Enoh Urges Full Operations at Sugar Institute

On Wednesday, during an official visit to the Nigerian Sugar Institute in Ilorin, Kwara State, John Enoh, the Minister of State for Industry, commended Kamar Bakrin, the Executive Secretary of the National Sugar Development Council (NSDC). Enoh emphasized the necessity for the Nigerian Sugar Institute to commence full operations, highlighting its strategic role in Nigeria's industrialization and self-sufficiency in sugar production.

He noted that the institute should function as an optimal hub for developing technical expertise and innovation within Nigeria's sugar sector. Enoh acknowledged the passion and commitment of Bakrin in achieving the objectives set for the institute.

However, he urged Bakrin not to rest until the institute is fully operational, stressing its critical role in increasing local production and supporting the industrialization of the sugar sector. Enoh reaffirmed the federal government's commitment to supporting the NSDC and the Nigerian Sugar Institute in achieving their mandates and called for sustained collaboration among stakeholders to transform the industry.
