Minister Doro Reaffirms Support for Nigeria's IDPs

Bernard Doro, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, reiterated the Federal Government's commitment to supporting internally displaced persons (IDPs) across Nigeria. Speaking ahead of the 74th birthday of President Bola Tinubu, Doro emphasized that the welfare of IDPs remains a top priority.

He noted that the ministry is working closely with relevant partner agencies to enhance support systems in IDP camps and pursue long-term solutions that will enable affected individuals to rebuild their lives and return to safe communities. Doro acknowledged the challenges faced by the displaced population, which require sustained attention and coordinated efforts from both government and non-government stakeholders.

He disclosed plans to visit IDP camps in Abuja to engage directly with displaced families and assess their needs, demonstrating solidarity with them. Doro called on Nigerians to support humanitarian efforts and assured that the Federal Government will not relent in its efforts to provide relief, restore livelihoods, and promote stability in communities affected by conflict.
