Nigeria Health Minister Urged to Clarify Reproductive Policy

The letter references recent disclosures that have raised anxieties regarding the involvement of influential foreign individuals, including Jeffrey Epstein and Bill Gates, in demographic outcomes in Nigeria. The group emphasizes the importance of transparency and the need for policies to be developed solely in Nigeria's public interest, free from undue external influence.

They request that the ministry publish details about partnerships with donors and oversight mechanisms to strengthen public confidence. The letter also addresses the ethical implications of billionaire philanthropists' involvement in global health initiatives and the potential for perceived conflicts of interest.
