Mohammed Idris Calls for Integrity Among CCB Officers

On September 14, 2026, Mohammed Idris, the Minister of Information and National Orientation, addressed 102 officers of the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) at the closing ceremony of their training program held at the EFCC Academy in Karu, Abuja. He emphasized the need for these officers to uphold integrity, professionalism, fairness, and respect for due process in their duties.

Idris highlighted the CCB's critical role in Nigeria's governance, noting its constitutional mandate to promote high standards of conduct in public office and enforce the Code of Conduct for Public Officers. He commended the Bureau's leadership for investing in the professional development of its officers and stressed that the fight against corruption requires not only enforcement but also prevention, ethical leadership, and public enlightenment.

The Minister called for a national culture that rejects corruption and underscored the media's role in promoting accountability. He urged the graduating officers to apply their training to enhance public confidence in government institutions.
