Nigerian Minister Urges Police Veterinarians to Enhance Livestock Protection Efforts

The Minister of Livestock Development, Idi Mukhtar Maiha, has called on police veterinarians in Nigeria to intensify efforts in safeguarding the country's livestock industry. This initiative aims to prevent farmer-herder conflicts and strengthen livestock health security nationwide.

The workshop organized under the Livestock Product Resilience Support Project emphasized the importance of leveraging the expertise of veterinarians within the police force. The Chief Veterinary Officer, Samuel Anzaku, and Aishatu Baju Abubakar from the Inspector General of Police commended the Minister's leadership in promoting food security and peacebuilding through collaborative efforts.
