Miyetti Allah President Bodejo Arrested, Handed to EFCC

Bodejo, the President of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, was arrested on Thursday night and subsequently handed over to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) upon his arrival at Jalingo's Danbaba Suntai Airport. Malam Umar, an aide to Bodejo, confirmed the arrest during a telephone interview with journalists but did not provide specific details regarding the alleged offenses.

The arrest has sparked concerns among Bodejo's supporters, particularly as he is an aspirant for the Taraba Central Senatorial seat under the All Progressives Congress (APC). There are allegations that the arrest is politically motivated, aimed at preventing Bodejo from participating in the APC screening exercise for candidates seeking tickets for the upcoming 2027 general elections.

The situation has heightened tensions within the APC as Bodejo's growing popularity in the Taraba Central Senatorial race is seen as a threat by some political figures in the state. As of now, the EFCC has not issued an official statement regarding the matter.
